About this recipe: A simple Punjabi dish of jeera flavoured gobhi and matar that tastes great with ghee wala paratha and raita.


Serves: 4 

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 teaspoons cumin seed
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seed
  • 275g peas
  • 200g cauliflower florets
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  1. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the cumin seeds and mustard seeds in the hot oil. Cook and stir until the seeds begin to pop. Mix in the peas and cauliflower. Season with salt. Reduce heat to low, cover, and continue cooking 15 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
