soya masala rice

    it is a simple,healthy and very tasty is an all time favourite to my family.

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 cups basmati rice
    • 1 cup soya chunks
    • 2 medium onions
    • 3 medium tomatoes
    • 2 to 3 green chillies
    • 1 tbs whole garam masala
    • 1 tsp ginger+garlic paste
    • 1 bunch coriander leaves
    • 1 tej patta
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder,chilli powder
    • 1-2tsp salt
    • 2tbls ghee
    • 4 cups water

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Extra time:5min preserving  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. first wash soya chunks,basmati rice and soak in different bowls for 5 min.
    2. to make paste take chopped onions,tomatoes&-coriander,chillies,ginger&garlic paste and whole garam masala
    3. in a pressure cooker add ghee,when it is hot put tej patta.stand for a while then add masala paste.
    4. fry the paste till it leaves oil then mix turmeric,chilli powder.
    5. add soya chunks,basmati rice fry for 1 min add water&salt.
    6. close the lid and let the cooker whistle for 2-3 times.remove the lid serve hot,with ghee & curd raita.


    with soya chunks you can use other veggies too.
