About this recipe:Bengali cuisine would not be complete without Shutki ( dry fish), especially Shutki Bhorta. This recipe is by Bina, and it is definitely spicy and yummy! Shutki bhortas are served with steaming plain white rice. I personally like to mix in a bit of daal to the bhorta and rice. Enjoy!
Heat a tawa and toast the shutki pieces for 10-15 minutes until the toasted shutki smell comes out.
Grind the dry red chillies until a soft paste forms. Add the toasted shutki pieces and continue grinding. Sprinkle salt and chopped garlic cloves. Grind again with half of the onion slices. It will all become a paste.

Mix the paste with rest of the onion slices.
Serve with steaming plain white rice.
The dry red chillies can be substituted with green chillies.
