Shujeer Halwa (Semolina Halwa)
Shujeer Halwa (Sujee or Semolina Halwa) is a very popular and easy dessert. It is usually made for breakfast, as it is quite soothing to taste first thing in the morning. It can be served warm or chilled, and is usually with ata rooti ( tortilla), parathas or loochi.

1 cup shujee ( semolina)
2 tablespoons of ghee
3 cups of hot boiling water
1.5 cups of sugar

Heat tawa and toast the shujee slightly. Set aside for cooling.
Heat ghee on a pan and add the cardamom and cinnamon stick.
Add the toasted shujee to the ghee with cardamom and cinnamon stick. Fry the shujee and add the hot boiling water.
Sprinkle the sugar and stir well on low heat for around 10 minutes. Tip
The halwa will not be too thick, but rather slightly thin and fluid.
It is delicious by itself, but it is also eaten with plain ata rooti, paratha or loochi.
