About this recipe: This is a typical Bengali fish recipe. It is spicy and gravy. Serve with plain white rice.

Serves: 2 

  • 250g Mola fish (Indian carplet or Mola carplet)
  • salt as needed
  • 1 cup of thinly sliced onions
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon of coriander leaves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 6-7 green chilies, cut in half

Prep:20min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:50min 

  1. Wash the fish pieces with salt.
  2. Mix the fish pieces with onions, ginger-garlic paste, coriander leaves, oil and salt.
  3. Heat a frying pan and pour the fix mixture with 1 cup of water.
  4. Cook for 30 minutes and garnish with green chilies and coriander leaves
  5. Serve!
