Bread Fruit Custard

    This recipe makes a great combination of small fried bread pieces soaked in delicious custard milk and chopped seasonal fruits. It is sweet and yummy by itself.

    • 2 cups of milk
    • 2 tablespoons of custard powder
    • 1 cup of sugar
    • 2 pieces of bread
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 1 tablespoon of oil
    • 1 apple, cubed
    • 4 bananas, sliced
    • 1 handful of sweet grapes
    • 1 pear, cubed
    • 1 handful of nuts and raisins


    1. In a pot, mix the milk with custard powder and sugar. Heat and stir for 5-6 minutes. Pour the milk on a serving bowl.
    2. Cut the bread pieces into small squares.
    3. Heat a pan with oil.
    4. Dip each square bread piece in the beaten egg and fry in the pan with oil.
    5. Mix the chopped fruits in the milk. Also add the fried bread pieces.
    6. Sprinkle nuts and raisins.
    7. Chill for 30-40 minutes.
    8. It is delicious by itself.
