Rukhsana’s brownies


    This is a recipe for homemade brownies I often make. Its quite simple, and the brownies are delicious by themselves, but can be served with vanilla ice cream or any other chocolate syrup.

    • 1 cup of butter
    • 3/4 cup of cocoa
    • 2 cups of sugar
    • 1.5 cups of flour
    • 4 eggs, beaten well
    • 1/2 cup of chopped nuts
    • 3-4 chocolate bars, grated


    1. Melt the butter and cocoa powder in a pot. Set aside to cool.
    2. Add the remaining ingredients: sugar, flour, eggs and chopped nuts one at a time and stir well.
    3. Grease a baking pan of 9” X 13”. Pour the mixture on to the pan and bake at 175 degree Celsius for 20 minutes.
    4. Cut into small squares and transfer on to serving plates.
    5. Slightly warm the grated chocolate in micro-oven for 1 minute so that bits of the chocolate will be molten and other bits will remain hard.
    6. Spread this semi molten chocolate all over the brownies.
    7. Serve!
