  • 2-2.5 tablespoons of mustard oil

  • 1/2 cup of onion slices
  • salt as needed
  • 2 teaspoons of coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
  • 1/2 cup of grated and mashed coconut
  • 2 cups of sliced dherosh or ladyfingers

  1. Heat a pan with oil and fry the onions and green chilies just slightly with salt, coriander and cumin powders.
  2. Add the coconut and stir. Cook for 5 minutes-by then the water released from the coconut and other ingredients should dry up and the oil should start to simmer on top.
  3. Add the sliced lady fingers or dherosh and turn the ingredients carefully so that the lady fingers do not break.
  4. Serve with plain white rice.
