Chingri shutki ar kathal bichir bhorta (Shrimp Shutki and Jackfruit Seeds Mash)

    Chingri shutki or sun dried shrimps have a distinct flavor that bring an edge to this dish. It is spicy and served with plain steaming white rice.

    • ½ cup of chingri shutki or dried chingri
    • 1 cup of boiled jackfruit seeds
    • 1 cup of onion slices
    • 7-8 green chilies, sliced
    • mustard oil-as preferred
    • salt as needed


    1. Mash the chingri shutki or dried shrimps in sheel pata. A blender can be used, but a sheel pata would give the best texture.
    2. Also mash the boiled jackfruit seeds.
    3. Continue to mix well with hand.
    4. Serve with plain white rice.
