Mishti Biscuits or Mitha Biscuits

    I love baking, and biscuits are one of my favorites. Try out this homemade sweet or mitha biscuits.

    • 1/2 cup of hydrogenated vegetable oil
    • 50 g of butter
    • 2 eggs
    • 5 tablespoons of ghee
    • 1 cup of powdered sugar
    • salt-just a bit ( like a pinch)
    • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
    • 4-5 drops of vanilla essence
    • 1 tablespoon of milk
    • 4 cups of flour


    1. Mash the hydrogenated vegetable oil (popularly known as Dalda) with hand. Mix in butter after mashing well. Mix again with hand.
    2. Now mix in the eggs and continue to mix well.
    3. Add in the ghee and mix again.
    4. Sprinkle sugar to the mixture and mix.
    5. Add salt, baking powder, drops of vanilla essence and milk, milk and mix.
    6. Finally add the flour, mix and kneed well to make dough.
    7. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin so that 1/4-inch thick round tortilla forms.
    8. Make some small dots with a fork all over the tortilla.
    9. Cut out small shapes using a biscuit cutter.
    10. Grease a baking tray. Place the biscuit moulds on the tray and put it on the second rack from top in the baking oven.
    11. Bake for 160 degree Celsius for 20-25 minutes.
