    This is my kid's favourite indian food with rice! This is easy to make and can be made either on the stove or a pressure cooker. If you are in a rush you can throw everything in the pressure cooker and it's done in 10 mins!

    Serves: 5 

    • 1 lb keema (ground chicken)
    • 1 onion finely chopped
    • 2 tomatoes finely chopped
    • 2 cloves garlic minced
    • 2 inch ginger minced
    • 1 tbsp garam masala
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 2 tsp coriander powder
    • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1 stick cinnamon stick
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 2 cardamom pods
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    • 2 cloves
    • 1 cup peas
    • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
    • 2 tbsp curd
    • salt to taste

    1. Boil the peas for 10 mins.
    2. While the peas are boiling, saute onions, tomatoes, ginger ,garlic and cumin seeds for 2 mins.
    3. Add the chicken to the above and saute for 2 mins. Add the masalas and saute for 4 mins. Add peas to the above mixture and saute for 2 mins. Add curd to the above and mix well.
    4. If it seems dry, sprinkle some water on it, cover with a lid and let it simmer for 15 mins stirring occasionally to make sure the chicken does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
    5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.


    The pressure cooker mehtod is a shortcut I sometimes use!
