Boneless chicken

    This recipe for boneless chicken is considered a relish by my friends and family members. It is creamy and spicy, and tastes great with almost anything-paratha, chapatti, rice, fried rice or pulao. I also prefer using desi cheese or panir than the imported foreign cheese. It really gives the much needed edge to the dish.

    • ½ tablespoon of ginger paste
    • ½ tablespoon of garlic paste
    • ½ tablespoon of onion paste
    • 1 teaspoon of garam masala powder or barbecue powder
    • ½ cup of plain yogurt
    • ½ kg of boneless chicken
    • salt as needed
    • 1.5 tablespoons of ghee
    • ½ cup of tomato puree
    • grated paneer (desi cheese)-as preferred


    1. Mix all the ingredients together excluding the tomato puree, grated cheese and ghee.
    2. Marinate for 3-4 hours.
    3. Preheat grill for 20 minutes.
    4. Grill the chicken pieces for 30 minutes at 200 degree Celsius. Leave the gravy out in a bowl.
    5. Heat a frying pan with ghee. Add the tomato puree and the gravy that has been kept aside in the bowl. Stir.
    6. Layer the grill meat pieces and cook with lid on at low heat for 30 minutes. Serve by sprinkling the grated cheese.
