    Soya bean is considered a very healthy ingredient, and this pulav recipe is a great way to encourage your little one to have something filling, nutritious and yummy. Serve with chutney, kababs or curries.

    Serves: 5 

    • 1 cup soya chunks
    • 4 cups water
    • 3 tablespoons soybean oil
    • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
    • 1 teaspoon green chili paste
    • 2 chopped onions
    • 1 teaspoon haldi (turmeric powder)
    • 2 teaspoons garam masala
    • 3 cups basmati rice
    • salt as needed

    1. Soak soya chunks in water for 10 minutes, or until the chunks get soft.
    2. Pour oil in a pressure cooker and heat it. Add cumin seeds, ginger-garlic and green chili pastes, onion slices, haldi and garam masala powders. Stir and mix all ingredients together.
    3. Then add soys chunks and mix properly.
    4. Now add the rice and 4 cups of water. Sprinkle salt, and cook for 15 minutes until the water dries up and rice becomes soft and boiled.
