About this recipe:
Dal rice is a different form of rice dish than khichadi as the rice and dal are previously cooked. It can be cooked quickly for lunch and served with chutney.
1 tablespoon soybean oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
4 to 5 curry leaves
1 teaspoon haldi powder
2 teaspoons red chilly powder
2 cups cooked tur dal
Salt as needed
2 cups cooked rice
1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
- Heat a pan with soybean oil. Add cumin, curry leaves, haldi and red chilly powders.
- Then add cooked tur dal. Mix it well.Add salt.
- Now add cooked rice and mix all the ingredients. Let the rice and dal cook until the water dries to form a thick mixture.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
