    About this recipe: Bread chivada is a simple and quick snack that is made of fried cut pieces of bread with spices. Serve with ketchup.

    Serves: 2 

    • 4 to 5 thick bread slices
    • 2 tablespoons soybean oil
    • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 1 cup chopped onions
    • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
    • 1 teaspoon haldi powder
    • 2 teaspoona red chilly powder
    • salt as needed
    • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

    1. Cut bread slice into small square pieces.
    2. Heat a pan with oil, add cumin seeds and chopped onions. Fry until the onions turn light brown.
    3. Now add sugar, haldi powder, red chilly powder, salt and lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients together.
    4. Now add bread pieces, and stir fry the pieces for 3 minutes.
