    About this recipe: Dahi Wada is one of the tastiest Indian dishes. Deep fried vadas flavored spiced up yogurt is simply out of the world. It is best enjoyed when chilled.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 7 

    • 4 cups udad dal
    • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • salt as needed
    • as needed: oil for deep frying
    • 4 cups dahi ( curd/yoghurt)
    • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon chat masala
    • 4 tablespoons sugar

    Directions
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Extra time:8hr soaking  ›  Ready in:8hr30min 

    1. Soak udad dal for 8 hours. Then make fine paste of it.
    2. Add cumin and salt to the above paste and mix well.
    3. Make round shaped cutlets. Heat a deep frying pan with oil, and deep fry the cutlets.
    4. Take dahi in a bowl add red chilly powder, cumin powder, chat masala, and sugar into it and mix well.
    5. Then put the wadas in above mixture. Keep it in fridge for 5 to 10 minutes and then they are ready to be served.
