    About this recipe: I learnt this recipe from my mom and it usually fetches excellent reviews from people who eat it

    Ingredients

    • Washed basmathi rice 1 cup
    • Onions(Big) 3
    • Carrots 2
    • Peas(Optional)
    • Grated coconut - 5 spoons
    • Cloves-2
    • Black mustard 1 tsp
    • Jeera 1 tsp
    • Pudina-1/2 cup
    • Coriander-1/2 cup
    • Small onion-1 (if unavailable use normal onion but a small piece)
    • Garlic 2-3 pieces
    • Khus Khus 2 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Sunflower Oil for Tempering
    • Ginger - 1 small piece
    • Green Chillies - according to taste
    • Bay Leaf-1
    • Beans- 1 cup

    Directions

    1. Grind the grated coconut,pudina,coriander,small onion, garlic,khus khus,green chillies,bay leaf,small onion,cloves,ginger in mixie with little water to make it as a paste
    2. Heat your pressure pan cooker and put the oil for heating. Add black mustard
    3. Once it spulters, add jeera. Once jeera turns golden brown, add onions and fry them until the raw smell of onions go away and turn light golden brown.
    4. Add the beans, carrot, peas and fry them for 5 mins.
    5. Add the washed rice, salt and stir it well
    6. Add the required amount of water and close the pressure pan
    7. Let the pressure pan give the same number of whistles as you usually cook the rice
    8. Before serving, stir it well and serve it hot
