Coconut Mutton Gravy
Mutton is one of the most loved food here in India. And then when it is made with coconut it contains the right signature taste to it that says "Exotic India". Serve with pulao or Kashmiri rice.

3 teaspoons red chill powder
2 teaspoons haldi
4 cups mutton slices ( bone or boneless)
1 cup grated dry coconut
2 chopped onions
2 teaspoons ginger garlic paste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
5-6 tablespoons soybean oil
3 teaspoons garam masala powder
salt as needed
1 cup water
2 tablespoons coriander leaves

- Mix 1 teaspoon each of red chili and haldi powders with the mutton slices. Keep the meat aside for 5-10 minutes.
- Now grind the grated coconut, chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and cumin seeds to make a fine paste.
- Heat a pan with oil, add this coconut paste to it and fry until it gets brown. Now add the rest of red chili, haldi and garam masala powders, salt and mix well. Add water and boil for 5 minutes.
- Now add the meat slices and cook until the water dries to form a thick gravy, with the mutton becoming soft and tender.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
