About this recipe: Kadhi is a Rajasthani gravy based food which has a spicy and sour taste. It goes great with khichadi, rotis, parathas or even pakodas.

Serves: 4 

  • 2 cups yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons besan
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons ghee
  • 2 teaspoons cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon methi dana (fenugreek seeds)
  • 1 teaspoon curry leaves
  • salt as needed
  • 3 tablespoons sugar

  1. Mix the yogurt, besan and water in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Heat a pan with ghee, add cumin seeds, methi dana (fenugreek seeds) and curry leaves. Then mix in the mixture of besan and yogurt.
  3. Now add salt and sugar and boil for 5 minutes.
