Prajakta's aloo paratha

    Aloo paratha is tasty on its own, owing to the fact that the dough is made from flour, mashed potato and spices. I personally enjoy it with salad in raita sauce. It would taste great with chutney and other gravy dishes as well.

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 cups boiled, peeled and mashed potatoes
    • salt as needed
    • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
    • 1 teaspoon dhaniya (coriander) powder
    • 1 teaspoon green chili paste
    • 2 cups wheat flour
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 2 tablespoons ghee

    1. Mix the mashed potatoes with salt, cumin powder, dhaniya powder, and green chili paste in a bowl.
    2. Make dough out of wheat flour, salt and water. Then make dough balls.
    3. Make an indent in each dough ball and stuff it with the potato mixture. Close the opening with the dough and repeat for the rest of the dough balls.
    4. Roll out each stuffed dough ball into thick chapattis. Heat a tawa with oil, and toast the chappatis.
