About this recipe: Bheendi fry is one my most favorite vegetable dishes. The crispy fried texture on the outside and the soft texture on the outside makes it a very enjoyable dish. Enjoy it with hot plain rice.

Serves: 4 

  • 7 to 8 bheendi
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon haldi powder
  • 2 tablespoons red chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon dhaniya (coriander) powder
  • salt as needed

  1. Cut bheendi in 2 parts along the length.
  2. Heat oil in a tawa, add garlic and fry it. Then add bheendi and mix.
  3. Now add haldi, red chili, cumin and dhaniya powders and salt.
  4. Fry until the bheendis turn a little crispy.
