About this recipe:
Daal itself is very comforting to the stomach. Sprout daal is even more comforting as it helps with digestion. Serve with plain rice or chapattis.
2 cups sprouts
2 chopped onions
1 chopped 1 chopped tomato
2 teaspoons grated coconut
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon haldi (turmeric) powder
2 teaspoons red chilie powder
2 teaspoons garam masala
2 teaspoons ginger garlic paste
1 cup water
salt as needed
- Boil sprouts in a pressure cooker for 20 minutes.
- Then make fine paste of onions, tomatoes and coconut.
Heat a pan with soybean oil, add cumin seeds, onions, tomatoes and coconut paste. Fry it for 5 minutes.
- Then add red chili, haldi and garam masala powders and ginger garlic paste. Mix well.
- Now add cooked sprouts to the pan, along with water. Add salt and boil for 5 minutes.
