Close the lid of the cooker, bring to full pressure on high heat. When on high heat for a bit, remove cooker immediately from the heat. Release pressure with slight lifting of vent weight. Open lid of the cooker.
Close the lid, and again place cooker with carrots on high heat. Add sugar and stir-the carrots should be molten and formed a thick liquid. Cook till the liquid mixture dries up , stirring occasionally. Add mava and ghee, stir.
Cook till ghee shows that it has separated and has come up on the surface, stirring constantly.
Pour the halwa on a serving dish. Serve hot, garnished with almonds.
