Delicious mutton masala

    This is a yummy mutton dish where the mutton is marinated and cooked with a generous portion of spices. Enjoy with egg-paratha and or pulav.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 cup yogurt
    • 3 cups mutton slices
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 1 cup chopped onions
    • 1 tablespoon chopped ginger
    • 6 to 8 garlic cloves
    • 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
    • 2 teaspoons mutton masala powder
    • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
    • 2 tablespoons garam masala powder
    • 1 teaspoon haldi powder
    • salt as needed

    1. Marinate the mutton slices with yogurt for 30 minutes. Set aside.
    2. Heat a pan with 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil. Toast the onions until brown.
    3. Now take this mixture in a mixture grinder. Add ginger, garlic, coriander and cumin seeds. Make fine paste.
    4. Heat a pan with rest of the oil. Add this masala to it and fry for 5 minutes.
    5. Then add mutton masala powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, haldi powder and salt. Mix well.
    6. Now add the mutton slices. Fry until the mutton gets soft.
