About this recipe:
This is a dal with very thin gravy, and has a great prominence of chopped green chilies. Unlike most dal dishes, no red chili powder is used. Serve hot with rice.
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 to 3 ( or more) chopped green chilies
1 tablespoon chopped tomatoes
2 cups boiled tur dal
water as needed
Salt as needed
A pinch or two sugar
1 teaspoon chopped coriander leaves
1 teaspoon haldi powder
- Heat a pan with vegetable oil. Add cumin seeds.
- Now add green chilies and tomatoes. Stir and fry.
- Then add tur dal with half cup of water. Mix well.
- Now add salt, sugar, haldi powder and coriander leaves. Boil for 5 minutes.
