Batata flower rassa

    This is a gravy side dish consisting of potatoes and cauliflower slices. It is full of flavors of coconut and typical Indian spices. Enjoy with rice or chapattis.

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 3 tablespoons onion tomato paste ( 2 onions, 1 tomato)
    • 1 tablespoon coconut paste
    • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
    • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
    • 2 teaspoons garam masala powder
    • 1 teaspoon haldi powder
    • 1 cup chopped potatoes
    • 1 cup chopped cauliflower
    • 2 cups water
    • Salt as needed

    1. Heat a pan with oil. Add cumin seeds, onion tomato, coconut and ginger garlic pastes. Stir.
    2. Now add red chili powder, haldi powder and garam masala powder. Mix well. Then add potatoes and cauliflowers. Stir and fry.
    3. Now add water and cook for 10 minutes.
