    This is toor dal made with coconut and cumin seeds. Enjoy with steaming plain rice.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 2 tablespoons coconut and garlic paste
    • 2 tablespoons red chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon haldi powder
    • 2 cups tur dal, previously boiled in 3 cups of water in a pressure cooker for 15 minutes.
    • Salt as needed

    1. Heat a pan with vegetable oil. Add cumin seeds.
    2. Then add coconut paste and mix well.
    3. Now add red chili and haldi powders. Stir and add tur dal with 1 cup of water. Sprinkle salt and mix well
    4. Let the mixture boil for 5 minutes.
