About this recipe: Anjir barfi is made from anjir or figs, which are rich in calcium and protein. This recipe is a great way to incorporate such healthy nutrients into something super delicious!

Serves: 2 

  • 5 dried anjir or figs
  • 3 tablespoons sugar syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon elaychi or cardamom powder
  • 4 tablespoons khoya
  • 1 tablespoon chopped almonds

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Extra time:15min chilling  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. Crush anjir in a mixture grinder. Set aside.
  2. Boil sugar syrup for 1 minute. Add elaychi powder and crushed anjir to it. Stir and add khoya, and mix well.
  3. Now put this mixture into a greased mould and chill in a fridge for 10 to 15 minutes. Garnish with almonds.
