About this recipe: Dabeli is a Gujrati snack made from potatoes and special dabeli masala. The potato mix is served with toasted pav or Indian bread. Enjoy it warm!

  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon haldi powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masla powder
  • 1 teaspoon dabeli masala
  • Salt as needed
  • 4 tablespoons mashed potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onions
  • 2 pavs (bread)

  1. Heat a pan with the oil. Add red chili powder, haldi powder, garam masala powder, dabeli masala and salt. Stir continuously and add the mashed potatoes and chopped coriander leaves.
  2. Heat a tawa. Meanwhile, cut the pav in half. Add butter and fry the onions lightly. Grease the pav on the butter-onions. Then fill up the pav with the onions. Serve the pav with the masala potato mix.
