About this recipe: This ladoo is made from ali or garden grass seeds. It is very much of a typical Maharashtran sweet dish. Enjoy!

Serves: 4 

  • 1/2 cup aliv (garden grass seeds)
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 4 cups grated coconut
  • 1 and 1/2 cups jaggery

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Extra time:3hr soaking  ›  Ready in:3hr25min 

  1. Soak aliv in coconut water for 2 to 3 hours.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan. Add soaked aliv, grated coconut and jaggery. Stir until a thick consistency mixture is formed.
  3. Grease your palm with ghee or oil. Make round shaped laddoos.
