Bhajanichi chakali

    This is a chakali that consists various kinds of dal and sabudana. Try it out with chutney or theccha!

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 and ½ cups chana dal
    • ½ cup moong dal
    • ½ cup sabudana
    • ½ cup udad dal
    • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
    • 2 cups rice
    • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
    • Salt as needed
    • 1 tablespoon hot vegetable oil
    • 1 tablespoon til (sesame seeds)
    • Vegetable oil for deep frying

    1. Heat a thick bottomed tawa. Toast chana dal, mung dal, sabudana, udad dal, cumin seeds and rice until these ingredients slightly brownish.
    2. Allow to cool completely. Grind this mixture in a mixture or grinder. Set aside the powdered mixture.
    3. Now add red chili powder, salt, hot vegetable oil and til (sesame seeds) to the powdered mixture make thick dough-batter. Put this mixture in chakali maker and make chakalis.
    4. Heat a deep frying pan or kadhai with vegetable oil. Deep fry the chakalis.
