    Flattened rice is a favorite among Maharashtrians. The Pohyacha chivada is a crunchy and fresh break fast item made from seasoned flattened rice that tastes great with warm milk tea. Enjoy!

    Serves: 3 

    • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
    • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 1 teaspoon chopped green chilies
    • 2 teaspoons fried peanuts
    • ½ teaspoon haldi powder
    • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon sugar powder
    • Salt
    • 2 cups dried poha

    1. Heat a pan with oil. Add cumin seeds, green chilies, peanuts, haldi powder, red chili powder, sugar and salt. Stir continuously and mix well.
    2. Then add poha and roast it until it gets crispy.
