About this recipe:
These are deep fried sweetened bread made from wheat flour and sweet potatoes. Enjoy the puryas by themselves.
1 cup wheat flour
1 cup boiled crushed sweet potatoes
½ cup jaggery
½ teaspoon elaychi (cardamom) powder
2-3 cups ghee for deep frying
- Mix wheat flour, sweet potatoes, jaggery and elaychi powder. Make dough.
- Now make small dough balls. Roll the balls into medium shaped puris.
- Heat a deep frying pan or kadhai with ghee. Deep fry the puris until golden brown.
