    About this recipe: This is a typical Maharashtrian dish made from fresh greens of shepu or dill leaves. It is really simple to make, and packed with essential nutrients. Serve with warm chapattis.

    Serves: 3 

    • 2 tablespoons moong dal
    • Water as needed
    • ½ tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
    • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
    • 1 teaspoon chopped green chilies
    • ½ teaspoon haldi powder
    • 2 cups chopped shepu (dill leaves)
    • Salt as needed

    1. Soak moong dal in 4 tablespoons water for an hour.
    2. Heat a pan with oil. Add mustard seeds, green chilies and chopped garlic. Then add haldi powder and moong dal. Stir and mix.
    3. Now add shepu and salt. Cook for 10 minutes.
