About this recipe:
This is a savory snack made from a batter of besan and butter milk roll stuffed with coconut and seasonings. Enjoy the soft and warm jelly like vadyas with friends for an afternoon tea break.
1 cup besan
2 cups buttermilk
1 teaspoon haldi powder
Salt as needed
1 tablespoon grated coconut
½ teaspoon chopped ginger
½ teaspoon chopped green chilies
½ tablespoon vegetable oil
½ teaspoon cumin seeds
½ teaspoon mustard seeds
1 pinch of edible food color soaked in 1 tablespoon of water

Mix the food color with the butter milk.
Mix besan, buttermilk haldi powder and make a smooth paste. Now pour this paste onto a nonstick pan and stir it continuously until it becomes thick.
Now grease 2 plates with vegetable oil. Spread a thin layer of this mixture on each plate. Then add grated coconut, ginger and green chilies. Repeat for the next plate.
Roll the layer from one to another. Repeat for the other plate. Cut the rolls into small disks.
Heat a pan with oil. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Pour this flavored oil on the small disks and serve.
