Kadhi pakoda

    This is a delicious dish of warm deep fried pakodas served with a dahi sauce. Enjoy it warm.

    Serves: 3 

    • ½ cup besan
    • ½ teaspoon carom seeds
    • Salt as needed
    • Water as needed
    • Vegetable oil for deep frying
    • 1 tablespoon ghee
    • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • ½ teaspoon methi dana(fenugreek seeds)
    • 1 and 1/3 teaspoons crushed ginger
    • 1 cup dahi (yogurt)
    • Salt as needed
    • 2 tablespoons sugar

    1. Mix besan, carom seeds, 2 tablespoons water and salt. Make thick batter.
    2. Heat a deep frying pan with vegetable oil. Add round portions of the batter to make pakodas. Keep fry the pakodas. Set aside the pakodas.
    3. Now take ghee in a frying pan, add cumin seeds and methi dana.
    4. Mix dahi with 1/2 cup of water in a separate bowl. Set aside.
    5. Add ginger to the methi mixture. Also add dahi and mix with salt and sugar.
    6. Boil it for 5 minutes. At the time of serving add pakodas to it.
