Lauki che kofte

    These are koftes or koftas made from lauki or bottle gourd. The patties are deep fried, and taste great with ketchup or chutney.

    Serves: 2 

    • 1 cup grated lauki (bottle gourd)
    • 1 teaspoon green chili paste
    • 2 tablespoons besan
    • ½ teaspoon ginger paste
    • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon chopped coriander leaves
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala
    • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
    • ½ teaspoon cumin powder
    • Salt as needed
    • ½ teaspoon garlic paste
    • Vegetable oil for deep frying

    1. Mix all the ingredients together, excluding the vegetable oil for deep frying.
    2. Take small portions in your greased palm, and press the portion into a lightly pressed patty or kofta. Repeat for the rest of the mixture.
    3. Heat a deep frying pan with vegetable oil. Then deep fry these koftas.
