Methi ki puri

    These are deep fried flat breads with methi or fenugreek flavor. Serve warm with chutneys.

    Serves: 3 

    • 1 cup wheat flour
    • 1 cup chopped methi (fenugreek leaves)
    • 2 tablespoons besan
    • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
    • ½ teaspoon haldi powder
    • Salt as needed
    • Vegetable oil for deep frying

    1. Mix all the ingredients together, (excluding the oil for deep frying) and make thick dough.
    2. Make small dough balls. Roll out the dough balls into medium sized chapattis or puris.
    3. Heat a deep frying pan with oil. Deep fry the puris until golden brown.
