Matakicha rassa

    This recipe is a great way to prepare sprouts with spices. Serve with warm chapattis.

    Serves: 3 

    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
    • 1 tablespoon onion paste
    • ½ tablespoon tomato paste
    • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
    • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
    • ½ teaspoon haldi powder
    • Salt as needed
    • 1 cup mataki (sprouts)
    • Water as needed

    1. Heat a pan with vegetable oil. Add cumin seeds and mustard. Stir and add onion paste, tomato paste, and ginger garlic paste. Mix well. Fry well for 5 minutes.
    2. Then add red chili powder, garam masala powder, haldi powder and salt. Stir and then add sprouts. Add 1 cup water. Stir and cook it until the sprouts become soft.
