Mataki (sprouts)

    Sprouts are a common vegetable in Maharashtra, and this dish is a simple and healthy dish. Serve with chapattis.

    Serves: 3 

    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
    • 1 cup chopped onions
    • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
    • 2 teaspoons red chilli powder
    • 1 teaspoon haldi powder
    • 2 teaspoons garam masala powder
    • Salt as needed
    • 2 cups sprouts

    1. Heat a pan with oil, add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Then add onions and garlic paste. Stir and fry until onions turn pink. Add red chilli, haldi and garam masala powders and salt.
    2. Then add mataki (sprouts) and cook for 15 minutes.
