    Maharashtrian cuisine would be incomplete without the wide varieties of shev. This is the simplest form of shev. Enjoy it with an afternoon tea, or sprinkle over spicy chat. You can also store it in an air tight container for weeks.

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 cups besan
    • 2 tablespoons hot vegetable oil
    • 1 teaspoon haldi powder
    • 2 teaspoons red chilli powder
    • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
    • Salt as needed
    • Water as needed
    • Vegetable oil for deep frying

    1. Mix besan, hot vegetable oil, haldi powder, red chilli powder, garlic paste and salt with 3 to 4 tablespoons of water to form a very thick dough.
    2. Now add this mixture to shev maker and make thick shev out of it.
    3. Heat a deep frying kadhai with vegetable oil. Deep fry the shev until it gets little brown.
