Masala puri

    As the name suggests, this puri is full of masala. Top it up with delicious and tangy tamarind sauce.

    Serves: 3 

    • 2 cups besan
    • 2 cups rava (semolina)
    • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
    • ½ teaspoon carom seeds
    • ½ teaspoon pepper powder
    • Vegetable oil for deep frying

    1. Add all the ingredients together, excluding the oil, and make dough.
    2. Keep it aside for 20 minutes.
    3. Make small dough balls.
    4. Roll out each dough balls into medium sized tortillas or puris.
    5. Heat a deep frying kadhai with oil. Deep fry the puris until they become fluffy and golden brown.
