Mushroom peas sabji

    This is a mushroom and pea based side dish, seasoned with cashew nut paste and spices. Enjoy with rice or chapattis.

    • 2 tablespoons chopped onions
    • 2 tablespoons tomato slices
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 2 tablespoons cashew paste
    • 2 teaspoons ginger garlic paste
    • 1 tablespoon fresh cream
    • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
    • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
    • ½ teaspoon haldi powder
    • Salt as needed
    • 1 cup mushroom
    • 1 cup peas

    1. Make fine paste of onions and tomatoes by grinding them.
    2. Heat a pan with oil. Add cumin seeds and onion tomato paste. Stir and add cashew paste and ginger garlic paste. Fry the ingredients just slightly.
    3. Then add fresh cream, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder and haldi powder. Stir and mix well.
    4. Add salt and bring the mixture to boil. It should take around 2 minutes.
    5. Then add mushrooms and peas. Mix well and cook until the peas and mushroom are tender.
    6. Serve with chapati.
