Makai masala

    This is makai or corn masala. It is delicious by itself.

    Serves: 2 

    • 2 tablespoons chopped onions
    • 2 tablespoons chopped tomatoes
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
    • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
    • ½ teaspoon haldi powder
    • 1 cup boiled corn (makai)
    • Salt as needed

    1. Grind onions and tomatoes to make a fine paste.
    2. Heat a pan with oil. Add cumin seeds and the onion-tomato paste. Stir and add ginger paste. Mix and fry.
    3. Then add red chili powder, garam masala powder and haldi powder.
    4. At last add corn and salt. Mix and cook for 3 minutes.
