    This is a Kohlapuri spicy chat, favorite to Kohlapurians from Maharashtra. Enjoy with generous additions of chutneys.

    Serves: 2 

    • 1 cup vatana
    • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
    • 1 vegetarian samosa
    • Salt as needed
    • 1/2 teaspoon cumin coriander powder (1:2 ratio)
    • 1 chopped onion
    • 1 chopped tomato
    • 1 boiled, peeled and cubed potato
    • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon chat masala
    • As needed- ambar khajur chutney
    • As needed spicy chutney chutney
    • Dahi or curd for garnishing

    1. Boil the vatana with turmeric powder. When it is boiled, mix with salt. Set aside.
    2. Break the samosa on a plate.
    3. Add the vatana, cumin-coriander powder, onions, tomatoes, potatoes, red chilli and chat masala powders and the chutneys. Mix.
    4. Add a twirl of dahi at time of serving.
