About this recipe: This is a traditional Bengali juice made from palm kernels. The juice is flavored with rose water and is a great drink to prepare for parties.

Serves: 2 

  • 4 palm kernels
  • 2 cups thick milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rosewater
  • A pinch saffron

Prep:15min  ›  Extra time:15min chilling  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. Chop the palm kernels or tal shash into small pieces.
  2. In a jar or bowl, mix the milk with water and sugar.
  3. In a cup, mix the rosewater with saffron.
  4. Now mix the saffron-rosewater with the milk. Add the kernel slices.
  5. Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes. Serve :)
