About this recipe:
These are golden brown deep fried balls made from besan, mint and coriander leaves and other spicy flavorings. Enjoy with chutneys.
1.5 cups besan
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
1/2 cup chopped mint/pudina leaves
1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
Salt as needed
1 tablespoon chopped green chilies
soybean oil for deep frying
- Mix all the ingredients, excluding the oil, together.
- Heat a kadhai or deep frying pan with soybean oil. Take a lump of the mixture and drop a ball on to the hot oil. Repeat to make 7-8 balls and deep fry them. Repeat to make more balls.
