    About this recipe: This is a tarka way to have eggs as snacks. These are deep fried flat breads with an spicy egg topping. Enjoy it warm.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 10 puris

    • 1 cup flour
    • 2 tablespoons ghee
    • Salt as needed
    • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
    • Water to make dough
    • Soybean oil for deep frying and frying
    • 10 eggs, one for each puri
    • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
    • 1/2 cup onion slices

    1. Mix flour, ghee, salt, baking powder and water to make flour. Cover dough with lid and set aside for 1 hour.
    2. Divide the dough into 10 dough balls. Roll out each dough ball into a medium sized tortilla or puri.
    3. Heat a deep frying pan/kadhai with oil. Heat a tawa as well.
    4. Place one puri on the hot oil. Deep fry it. When the puri is almost fried, grease the tawa with some oil.
    5. Take the puri out and place it on the tawa. Crack an egg on it. Sprinkle salt, a pinch of red chilli powder and a few onion slices. Continue to shift the puri on tawa and then reverse its side if u want the egg to be a bit fried.
    6. Repeat for the rest of the puris.
