About this recipe:
This is a sweet, spicy and salty chutney made from amshotto or dried raw mangoes. Enjoy with kababs or chops.
300 g Amshotto
1/2 cup water
3-4 cup ( or according to your taste) sugar
Salt as needed
2 teaspoons Bitlobon or black salt
½ teaspoons jeera or cumin powder
1 teaspoon thin ginger slices
2 teaspoons dried red chillies
- Cut the amshotto into small pieces and soak it in warm water.
- In a saucepan add water. Mix in the sugar and turn on the heat. Stir regularly to make syrup. Once bubble start to apprea in the syrup, pour the pieces of amshotto and stir.
- Gradually add the rest of the ingredients to the mixture and stir. The Amshotter Chutney is ready to be served.
