    • Tangy tomatoes (4-5 medium sized)
    • mustard seeds (little)
    • curry leaves (10 leaves)
    • salt (depends)
    • urd dal (liittle)
    • turmeric powder (Little)
    • chilli powder (little)
    • fenugreek seeds (few)
    • Oil (3-4 teaspoons)
    • Asafoetida (depends)


    1. Heat the oil in kadai and garnish with mustard seeds , asefotida, curry leaves, urd dal, fenugreek seeds
    2. Cut tomatoes into small pieces and put it along with its liquid in the kaDai-containing-oil.
    3. Fry the tomatoes until they give out the liquid.
    4. To this, add turmeric powder, chilli powder,salt, little sugar and close the lid. Note: Add some water if required.
    5. The hot pickle is ready now. add tinch of mustard powder over it and garnish it with coriander leaves.


    (note: More tangy the tomatoes more great will be the taste, if not sufficient you can add tamarind juice)
